24 September Bored!Finally found time to write on here and that's because i am at home, alone on a day off, after being messed around by yet another friend. Wil get back to that rant in a mo!
Been a busy year, not always perfect but it's ok now. Heres a brief monthly update: Dec-Cam belt went on xmas day. Jan-Waited this whole month to get my car back, was not a happy bunny! March-Had our garage broken into and they stole my armour, best not to talk about that cuz i'm still wound up about it! May- Went to the Lulworth Pirate Festival in our new American war of independance uniforms, went down a wow, it was my birthday weekend and i got to load and fire a real musket. June- Went to Donnington Rock Festival, weather was fantastic and i saw Slipknot play live :-) July- My new armour turned up, yay, all shiny and new. Just in time for us to go to Tewkesbury Medieval Festival and Berkeley Castle. Aug- Saw Bill Bailey in concert, he was fantastic. Plus yet another medieval show, really enjoyed that. Sept- Went to Thorpe Park to play on the rollercoasters. The Stealth ride nearly killed Cliff though i must admit it was not fun, 0-80mph in about 2secs and then you are shot 210ft straight up!!
Also been involved with a paranormal investigation group, our last event was at Fort Bovisand in Plymouth. I get to play with lots of fab gadgets and night vision cameras so i'm generally like a kid in a candy store :-)
Work is good but the council are currently trying to sell us off to a private buyer and that could mean lots of changes. We've been trying to fight it but i think it's inevitable that we'll be sold. Lots of rumours flying around at the moment but it's best not to get stressed about it, we'll know for sure in a few weeks and then i'll take it from there.
Unfortunately our old cat Patsy passed away last year but we now have Harry who is a darling, his sister Willow does not hate him too much fortunately. He is a real hunter though, brought in a dead rat the other day which is an improvement because he normally brings in live ones!!!
So that's my year in a nutshell! Busy busy.
So back to the ranting which you all come here to read afterall! They say friendship is a wonderful thing so why is it that i end up being totally disillusioned by the whole thing!? Why have i always been there for certain people yet they are never there for me. I think it's been over the last few years that i've seen some people for who they really are, took off the rose coloured glasses and can now see that what others think about them is true. Selective memories; apathy; living in their own little fantasy worlds and not realising that their actions are driving a wedge between us. I think i will just treat them with total indifference, not that they will notice!!!
